Program Description: Days Gone By

 

Have you ever wondered what it was like living on the canal? Visit a lock tender’s house on the Lehigh Canal and learn all about canal life. Do laundry the old fashioned way with a tub and washboard, play old time games, harness a mule (fiberglass), and make apple cider.

 

Available weekends and after-school September, October, May, & June;  call to arrange a date and time.

 

Location: Hugh Moore Park, Easton Cost: $8.00 per girl

 

Girls can earn/meet requirements for the following Girl Scout Badges: 

 Try-It Listening to the Past, Local Folk Lore, Toymaker or History Hunt badges.
