DESCRIPTION:Huzzah!  Travel back to the 1860s during Civil War Day at the 
 National Canal Museum \n \nOn Saturday\, October 6\, numerous members of 
 the Confederation of Union Generals will be encamped outside the National 
 Canal Museum for Civil War Day in Hugh Moore Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 
  The Union Generals authentically portray notable and colorful historical 
 figures from the American Civil War era to educate the public and honor th
 e service of the persons portrayed.  At 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.\, the group wi
 ll put on their signature “Meet the Generals”\, an interactive present
 ation to introduce park visitors to each figure’s role and accomplishmen
 ts during the “War of the Rebellion”.  In between presentations\, the
  re-enactors will be on hand to answer questions about life during the Civ
 il War\, demonstrate period activities\, and pose for photographs (don’t
  be surprised if they ask you what a photograph is though!).  It is espec
 ially fitting to explore the Civil War era alongside the Lehigh Canal as t
 he canal was a major transportation route for anthracite coal\, which powe
 red the North’s industrial advantage.  \nLocated in Easton’s Hugh Moo
 re Park\, the National Canal Museum is open on weekends October through De
 cember 23\, 11:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Rides on the mule-drawn canal boat wi
 ll take place at 12\, 1\, and 2 p.m. during Civil War Day and re-enactors 
 will be aboard each ride.  Participation in the Civil War day activities 
 is free.  Museum and canal boat admission is $12 for adults\, $11 for sen
 iors (65 and above)\, $9 for children (3-15)\, and free for children under
