Celebrate Trails Day Clean-up at Hugh Moore Park

National Canal Museum - Celebrate Trails Day Clean-up at Hugh Moore Park

Location
Hugh Moore Park

For Celebrate Trails Day 2021, the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor and National Canal Museum are hosting a D&L Trail Tenders volunteer work day in Hugh Moore Park to get it looking great! We’ll be working in small groups outside on projects such as painting, laying stone around our portico, litter pick-up, and gardening.

Registering ahead of time is required. We strongly encourage households to volunteer together to help us comply with physical distancing requirements. Minimum age for volunteering is 12 (under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian). Participation will be limited to 40 volunteers.

Per Pennsylvania Department of Health order, face coverings are required for every individual age 2 and older when outdoors with others outside of a person’s household and unable to maintain sustained physical distance of at least 6 feet. “Face covering” means covering of the nose and mouth with material that is secured to the head with ties, straps, or loops over the ears or is wrapped around the face. If you remove your mask to stay hydrated, please ensure that you stand at least 6 feet from anyone not in your household for the duration of your drink break.

On the day of the event, assess your health and personal risk level. In the 2 weeks leading up to the event, STAY HOME if you have experienced any of the following:
– Sickness or any COVID-19 symptoms (cough, headache, fever, sore throat, or loss of taste/smell)
– Contact with anyone who has/had COVID-19 or a potential case awaiting test results, including anyone who has experienced the above symptoms
