Canal Music, Stories and Songs, with Singing Historian Roy Justice

Roy has been bringing history to life through stories and songs for more than 30 years. Spend an evening with Roy traveling back in time to the 19th-century when Lehigh Coal and Navigation Company canal boats traveled the Lehigh and Delaware canals from Bristol to White Haven. Roy will share the history, character, and life-style of the people who built the canal, tended the locks, and captained the boats through his unique blend of stories and songs. A hearty dinner featuring traditional Pennsylvania German food will be served. BYOB – wine & beer only.

This cruise will include a lift lock experience in Lock 47 at the lower end of the canal in Hugh Moore Park.  You’ll experience how canal boats were lowered and raised in the old days as they traveled from one section of the canal to another.
