Due to planned construction on the Glendon Hill Road Bridge, the National Canal Museum will operate on a shortened schedule this year. Our 2026 season will be open from Friday, March 27 through the end of May. Public canal boat rides will not be offered during the 2026 season.

National Canal Museum archivist, Martha Capwell Fox, will tell the story of Bethlehem Steel from its beginnings in the 1860s to its demise in the last quarter of the 20th century. Ethnic music and ethnic food from Culinary Experts of Allentown will accompany a very enlightening talk about the Lehigh Valley’s former steel titan. This cruise will include a ride to Lock 47.

Cost: $46.00 per person; BYO wine or beer
