It’s time to STEAM into history at the National Canal Museum. Come visit us as we open for the new season. Our museum is full of STEAM activities. Learn about the engineering and technology required to create and operate the canal. Visit our canal table and practice some math and see if you can build the canal on the tightest budget possible. Walk with us on our nature walk as we discuss why canals are built along rivers and how the industries that grew around canal systems affected the environment in and along the rivers. Take one of our Nature journals and observe, as a naturalist would, the world around you. Lastly, add in the art piece by creating a landscape of the nature you observe, or trying your hand at drawing a mule. Combine the two to create a real masterpiece.
