Notice: Reduced 2026 Schedule

Due to planned construction on the Glendon Hill Road Bridge, the National Canal Museum will operate on a shortened schedule this year. Our 2026 season will be open from Friday, March 27 through the end of May. Public canal boat rides will not be offered during the 2026 season.

Be the first to experience our new walking tour with D&L educator Jeff Mucklin that explores the industrial history of Hugh Moore Park, then enjoy beer, wine and refreshments on the National Canal Museum porch with other D&L members. The walk is 1 hr. 15 minutes  long and covers approximately a mile with some uneven terrain, so please wear appropriate footwear.  Event is free for members; we do ask that you fill out a survey about your experience. Pre-registration is appreciated for head count purposes. Space is limited to 25 people.
