Museum Store Sunday & Swag Workshop

“Be a Patron” and support the National Canal Museum by shopping at our museum store on Museum Store Sunday, an international event with over 1,200 participating museums and historic sites.  The museum store is offering 10% off on all merchandise (20% off for our D&L Members).  You can find a wide array of unique gifts at our store, including many items made especially for the museum by local crafters.  All purchases support the museum and its educational programs.

For every purchase made during the event of $25 or more, the purchaser will receive a free canal-themed print by artist J. P. La Duca (four scenes to choose from).  Cheryl Williams, the Moody Beader, will also be demonstrating how she uses buttons, natural stones, crystals and more to make her unique beaded jewelry from 1:00-3:00pm and will create made-to-order earrings and bracelets for shoppers.  There will be yummy refreshments to fortify our shoppers as well!

Feeling crafty?  You can also drop in for a holiday swag-making workshop with D&L Executive Director Elissa Garofalo- at the museum’s cozy Welcome Center between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. Greens, wire, and ribbon will be provided.  Please bring other decorative materials and gloves if you have them.
