Due to planned construction on the Glendon Hill Road Bridge, the National Canal Museum will operate on a shortened schedule this year. Our 2026 season will be open from Friday, March 27 through the end of May. Public canal boat rides will not be offered during the 2026 season.

As a Smithsonian Affiliate, the National Canal Museum will participate in the annual Smithsonian Museum Day Live event by offering free museum admission to registered guests (boat rides will be $5).
